Cleaning out my office during the stay-at-home orders of the pandemic, I found four empty notebooks filled with journal prompts. Because they appeared to lose all their magic, every time I had a better and brighter idea. They seemed to be incapable of making a difference since I made them myself.
But with all this idle time on my hands, combined with the inability to throw anything away, I began to use the journal prompts I had gathered over the years. Each day, I was drawn to a different prompt, for a different reason. Slowly, I began to see the magic in these journal prompts I had collected and neglected.
What was the most important journal prompt?
The one I (actually) used.
